Slipping by Cathleen Davitt Bell

This is a very good book however there are some parts that i did not really enjoy reading. This book is about a young boy name Michael Kimmel he lives a comfotable life with his family. A tragedy soon happens and his grandfather dies. Michael was never really close to his grandfather but Michael is disgusted that his father shows no emotion to the death of his own father. Soon Michael is pulled into an unknown chasm. He starts to see the ghost of his grandpa and together they travel through the river of the dead and only stops at his grandfathers memories, without Michael knowing he is slipping further into the world of the dead. Each time he visits his grandfathers memories he is becoming weaker and weaker. Michael has help from his sister and friends. They soon learn that Michael has to free himself from his grandpa's affection before its too late.
This was a very interesting book to read however it was not what i expected it to be.
