The Dragon Reborn - The Wheel of Time

This is the third book in The Wheel of Time, where Rand al'Thor, recently named the Dragon Reborn, begins the book in a Shienaran camp, but secretly sneaks away, headed for Tear. Moraine, Loial, Lan and Perin follow him through villages and small towns, while he makes haste. Meanwhile, Nynaeve, Elayne and Egwene are in Tar Valon, when the Amyrlin Seat tells them of the fabled Black Ajah, which was indeed a real Ajah, serving for the Shai'tan. Nynaeve and Egwene are sent to follow them, and head to Tear, unaware of Rand heading there too.
As this was going on, Matrim escapes from Tar Vaon with the help of Nynaeve's letter, and begins heading for Andor, as the only way he got the letter was to convince Elayne he would take a letter from her to her mother, Queen Morgase. On the way, he meets up with Thom and they travel together to Andor. Mat finds out that a man close to Morgase was planning to kill Elayne, and pursues them to Tear, where all the main characters meet up again (Apart from Min, who hadn't had much to do with this book so far)

I think this book is another great story Robert Jordan wrote, with a great mix of all genres and in every few chapters, he surprises the reader with another unexpected turnout. It is a touching story and because the book is so long and expressive, it brings the reader closer to the characters.
